Advent is the first liturgical season in our Church calendar year. It a time of Joyful Hope and Expectant Waiting as we prepare to welcome Jesus - into our hearts, into our homes, into our lives. The word Advent means "Coming". The four weeks of the season of Advent prepare us to celebrate the coming of Jesus at Christmas but also remind us to look forward to the time when Jesus will come again.
